A large body of literature attests to the value of active learning. Some—but not all—active learning techniques require actual physical activity from students. Labs, simulations, and role-playing exercises can engage students both physically and mentally. They can also be time and labor intensive for faculty members and difficult to employ in larger or content-driven classes. This highly interactive session will introduce participants to an active learning technique that is suitable for classes of any size and any content, and which makes modest demands on planning and classroom time.
